WildStar to be subscription-based; offers “play to pay” option.
Carbine Studios and NCsoft have officially announced the business model for WildStar, their upcoming sci-fi MMORPG. The game will run primarily on a subscription model, with an option for players to pay for game time with in-game currency.

Those of you who signed up for the WildStar beta when sign-ups opened back in 2011 will be glad to hear that beta invites are now being sent out and developer Carbine Studios has finally announced the start of the WildStar beta test.
